FAQ
No, Apple Dentistry’s dental procedures depend on what type of dental health issues exists and assessment of your potential smile. Be sure to keep your teeth as clean as possible by brushing and flossing before your initial assessment.
Our dentists will discover cavities during a routine Scale & Clean and schedule an appointment to apply fillings. For other dental procedures, they’ll take x-rays, measure your mouth and make models of your teeth and jaw, when requires.
Fillings – are the most common type of dental restoration to repair cracked or broken teeth and teeth that have been worn down from misuse (such as from nail-biting or tooth grinding). Fillings are gold, silver amalgam, or tooth-colored plastic and glass materials called composite resin fillings.
Crowns – a tooth-shaped “cap” that is placed over a weak tooth or broken tooth to restore its shape and size, strength, and improve its appearance.
Implants – Dental implants are medical grade titanium posts which are placed in your jaw bones. It is designed to integrate with your jaw, forming a solid foundation to support one or more natural looking porcelain teeth.
Bridges – A dental bridge is a fixed structure customized to look like natural teeth. This restoration may have one or more artificial teeth and will have a crown at each end. Crowns affix to natural teeth outside of the empty space to anchor artificial teeth in place
Partial and Full Dentures – Partial dentures are used when you’re missing some but not all of your teeth. They use plates and sometimes clip to stay in place in your mouth. Full dentures replace all your teeth and remain in place with adhesives. Full dentures can also be attached to dental implant posts for a more secure fit.
Invisalign – Invisalign® treatment is a series of clear plastic removable orthodontic aligners that gently move patients’ teeth. Invisalign treatment can be a great solution for adult, teens and children looking for a virtually invisible method to improve their smile.
Dental Veneers – Veneers are wafer-thin shells of porcelain which are placed over your existing teeth to give it a whiter colour, perfect shape and even straighten teeth out! A well-designed veneer can be as thin as 0.5mm. This means our technique can be minimally invasive and still give you a dazzling makeover.
24 hours following the treatments we recommend eating room temperature soft foods and lukewarm soups.
Gentle brushing and flossing are necessary every day. Remember to clean the gums tongue and over all mouth.
